Trip Overview

The Mohare Danda Trek is a hidden gem in the Annapurna region, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas, peaceful trails, and an opportunity to experience local culture. Unlike the more crowded Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, Mohare Danda provides a quieter, off-the-beaten-path experience, making it perfect for nature lovers and those looking for an eco-friendly trekking adventure. This trek is also known as the “Eco-Community Lodge Trek”, as it promotes sustainable tourism by supporting local communities through homestay-style accommodations.

The trek takes you through lush rhododendron forests, charming Magar and Gurung villages, and scenic ridges with mesmerizing views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Manaslu. The highlight of the trek is Mohare Danda (3,300m), which offers a stunning sunrise and sunset view over the Himalayas, rivaling even Poon Hill.

Itinerary

In the morning, the Rugged Trails guide and the driver will come to your hotel, and you will finish your breakfast. Around a 3-hour drive to Galeshwor along the bank of the Kali Gandaki River.
